Buck Service
I do offer buck service to goat herds in SLO county and surrounding areas. To use one of our bucks, you will need to provide a clean biosecurity panel that is within the last 12 months of desired service dates and any/all does are required to be in good health, free of any mites, lice, skin problems, diarrhea, or infectious in any way. Any goats that are sick or show visible signs of lethargy or unwell will be asked to stay in their transport vehicle and can return when they are in good health. Buck service prices are listed on the buck pages.
I have 1 breeding pen for boarding goats overnight up to a full 30 days. Its availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Driveway breeding is available anytime I'm around. You may not bring a doe in heat when I am not on the property without explicit permission. Boarding fees cover the cost of food for buck and any does in the breeding pen. It usually works out to 1 bale of alfalfa/week at whatever the going costs are for alfalfa.
All bucks are available for driveway breeding except Silenus and Menkalinan.
To see if a buck is available, refer to this calendar. If a buck is offsite it will say so in the listing. If the buck is listed and not offsite, the buck will still be available for driveway breeding, but not overnight as the buck is staying in a pen with other goats and will only come out for 15 minutes to be with your doe. Please contact me by email jv at giggling - goat . com to request an available date for buck service.
